From Flavia Watkins Photography:

The style of the shoot is fun and relaxed, just as everything should be in late summer. All the details were thoroughly planned and are meant to be simple, yet elegant and beautiful- from the dress/hair/make up to the pies and cocktail choices.  We chose The Cliff House for this shoot as it is a small, intimate space in a laid back South Dallas neighborhood and fit in well with our overarching laid back summer style. The Cliff House is a historical spot and  is a gem in the famous Dallas neighborhood of Bishop Arts.

We also incorporated rescue kittens into the shoot for a bit of an fun twist! Serendipitously, August 8th, t...

Q: Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette? Did you incorporate any cultural or religious traditions in any part of your day?

A: We met in Los Angeles but are from South Carolina and Oregon so we really wanted to combine the feel of all three into our wedding day. I wanted to make sure that it wasn't a "Christmas wedding" but that the spirit of the holiday was felt throughout. We also wanted to make sure that God was at the center of the ceremony. I carefully selected several verses I wanted to be highlighted to reflect the love we share.

Q: Let's talk wedding decor. How did yo...

The Harris Company setting the stage for how Tyler and Lindey's love story began:

Tyler is single and living in Stamford, CT. Lindsey is single and living in NYC … with intentions of moving to Stamford. In fact, she was looking at apartments earlier this very day…

7:05 PM: Lindsey leaves for dinner with a “friend” whom she met while looking for an apartment in Stamford earlier in the day.

8:07 PM: Tyler is sick but cracks his first cheap, light beer anyways, knowing he can’t be sober when the girls show up. Did I mention that by some grace of God Tyler and his roommate convinced eight girls to come over?

8:18 PM: Lindsey learns the “friend” she met up with want...

Abby & Peter are a fun adventurous couple and said that when they toured the Mayowood Stone Barn it "just felt right" for the location of their wedding.

On their wedding day they had to make the call of an barn ceremony or outdoors due to the weather. In my 8 years of photographing weddings I saw a first, they oped to do 2 ceremonies. One outside quick before the rain came and a 2nd ceremony with all their guests inside the barn loft.  Both were 100%  perfect and I felt left the couple with no regrets!

The color palette for the day was beautiful, touches of gold and soft colors. The bridesmaids wore different dresses that were boho inspired and the men w...

Anyone else LOVE LOVE LOVE boho with the mix of VIBRANT colors, oh and BRUNCH! Check below for some amazing summer time brunch wedding inspiration.

From the photographer:

Fresh, fun and full of colour. Tons of food.  A super cute couple.  Fab vendors.

These were our goals.  We love the way it all came together for this Boho Brunch styled shoot at The Albany Club in downtown Toronto. We took over the Albany Club rooftop, and counted down the moments with baited breath as the weather channel called for not just rain, but thunderstorms all day.  While there were a few raindrops and wet patches the morning of while we were setting up, it sudd...

From the bride:

1. How did you meet?

We met on Tinder in March of 2015. Yep, Tinder! Naturally, I had been attempting unsuccessfully, with online dating for years, while Michael's first date from Tinder was with me, his future wife.

2. How did the proposal happen?

Michael proposed on November 2, 2016 on our back patio, which was perfect. Michael travels so much for work and we are always on the go, so home is one of our most favorite places! He handed me a card with a sweet note and I realized he was proposing! I looked up and he was down on one knee! I said YES and we celebrated with Miller Lite's on the patio and then dinner at Bida Manda!

3. When did you kn...

It was about ten years ago in high school when Ross and Emily first met and it is easy to see why they were drawn to one another. Ross’s jovial personality matched with Emily’s amazing smile was infectious every time we were around them. Their laid back nature on their wedding day made for the most perfect atmosphere. The day began at golden hour at the always stunning Riverdale Manor where the large trees towered over us and the calm stream trickled by. Emily and Ross were such great hosts by greeting their guests with lemonade before the outdoor ceremony and sending them off later that evening with popcorn to munch on as they headed home.

Emily wowed everyo...

From Abbie Mae Photography:

After months of curating this shoot, we knew we wanted to create something different. Something that is unusual to be seen on a wedding blog.? Something that hadn't already been done.? In this day and age, it's hard to find things that aren't straight out of Pinterest and are truly original. As fall quickly approached, we knew this was going to be a darker, more romantic shoot. This is where we present to you the Hill Country Woodland Chic Inspired Wedding.  The color palette of burgundy, red,?deep plum, and pops of copper?exaggerated the thought of love in the air, especially with this gorgeous couple.? This is by far the most tal...

The warm months in Paris bring cherry blossoms and some much-needed sunshine. The amazing vendors wanted to celebrate this beautiful time of the year with a bridal inspiration. Cheryl and Dew (English Dream Cake) and Elizaveta (Elizaveta Photography) had a vision of flowing, natural materials and soft pastels accented by this year’s hottest color - Ultra Violet. Living in Paris, they wanted to bring out the old-word charm that inspired Impressionist paintings over a century ago. Alice (Atelier Nomade) created beautiful florals with a stunningly decorated rattan Peacock chair (called “Emmanuelle” chair in French), which have become the staple of many French w...

From the Photographer:

MODERN, MINIMALIST, CLEAN

When Courtney Lawhon of Courtney Lawhon Events first contacted me about doing a modern inspired styled shoot with her, I was ecstatic! I have worked with Courtney a number of times in the past year on different weddings and projects and every time I do, she blows me away with what she brings together. She is also a beautiful person inside and out, a total pleasure to work with!

When I came across The Metropolitan, I knew I had come across something special. It had all the feels of an NYC loft. All the gorgeous natural light that flooded into the white room made my photographer heart leap for joy! It was like a b...
