Words from the photographer:

We had this creative idea for a darker themed elopement, something that screamed fall vibes and halloween! We collaborated with some awesome vendors who helped bring our ideas to life. Lexi and her boyfriend Blake really owned the shoot and poses- even letting themselves be burned by the hot wax so we could get the shot. We scouted for an abandoned house but couldn't find something we could use- instead we found a trail with some fallen trees and lots of colors. Bri Smith, the makeup artist, was incredible. Her first look included a lace neck cuff and matching patterns on the side of her face. The eyes were dark and dramatic,  pe...

Any couple who longs for an intimate and enchanting wedding by the sea would be inspired by this Oregon Coast wedding shoot. A wonderful team of vendors from Oregon, came together to build the vision for this shoot, which was inspired by coastal elements such as the wind and sea. We achieved this look through the use of a natural color pallet and free-flowing florals and textures. With their private beach access, overlooking Pacific City's iconic Haystack Rock, Pelican Brewing Company made the perfect location for this romantic wedding shoot. And when paired with other organic and minimalistic details, the resulting ethereality r...

Words from the photographer:

Kristen & Mark are the type of couple that make me LOVE what I do! I knew we would hit it off as soon as I met them at the consultation session. They’re the perfect combination of fun and laid-back. You probably remember their romantic lakeside engagement session at Laguna Gloria followed by the dock at Abel’s on the Lake. That shoot was so much fun, it was very promising for their big day.

It turned out to be true, the engagement session basically made them pros on their wedding day! Kristen mentioned that she doesn’t consider herself to be photogenic, and Mark also wasn’t crazy about the idea of having their photos taken…but I d...

Words from the photographer:

Maria and I spent a beautiful, sunny day walking around Paris and capturing the most beautiful images. The inspiration behind this styled shoot was a very modern, chic, and elegant look. What else would you expect in Paris?  My advice for any bride planning their wedding is to do whatever you want and to go for whatever look you want. If you want a unique dress, go for it. If you want to take pictures at one of the busiest spots in the world, then let's make that happen.

Words from the photographer:

It all started with a pencil in art class. I would draw every day and later found myself deeply immersed in the arts, only to learn that photography was what really fulfilled my creative cravings. I have been lucky enough to live on an island in the Caribbean, which helped propel my growth as a photographer. After that, New Jersey and Southern Texas became a part of my soul and helped fuel my creative process. My growth as a photographer has been an exciting ride so far, through all of the different cultures and people I have come to love!

The shoot I am submitting to you, stems out of the passion I have for fellow artists like Fr...

Words from the photographer:

Our story takes us to Regent at Stone house, a venue reminiscent of english cottage countryside life.

We were inspired by the dyed blue of memories, and rustic living touched by finery, like Marie Antoinette's Petit Trianon.  Our bride and her maid wander the gardens, playing with lambs in the field.

In the lady's room, she's surrounded by her precious heirlooms like a blue ostrich fan, her antique velvet clutch, a Florentine dressing screen and family photos.

Outside, a table awaits. The lace in Arte Italica Lace China echoing in the lacy frill of  wildflowers that adorn the table.

The gentleman, sharp dressed in Chris...

The Proposal:

It took some convincing, as Jack and I were moving into our new apartment in my home city Chicago, but Jack got me to agree to join him and some friends for dinner. While enroute to dinner, we took a minor “detour” and strolled through Grant Park. Little did I know, a photographer was hiding amongst the trees and snow waiting to catch our “detour” all on camera. When we got to the park, Jack got down on one knee and with the city behind him, asked for my hand in marriage.

The Preparation:

When it came to our wedding and deciding how to tackle our big day, our guiding principle was simple: throw an unforgettable party with those who have filled o...

Words from the photographer:

The south is known for its large estates and nothing is more beautiful than an estate wedding venue. The Estates at Pecan Park is the perfect setting for any bride wanting to capture the feel of the south on their special day. The light and airy feel of the day set the tone for this southern bridal and best friend shoot. Featuring shades of cream with added pops of yellow tied in with the sage green accent colors.

To bring in more of the southern feel, names were elegantly written on lemons to show the guests their seat with the menu wrapped around a fresh baked loaf of bread to share for the table. All of the florals were designe...
