70s Bohemian Elopement Inspiration

June 13, 2018

From the intricate floral details and styling to the effortless sweep of the brides vintage inspired dress, this gorgeous bohemian wedding is an absolute dream. Each detail was so carefully curated to create a seamless flow and really brought out the authentic beauty of the couple, all thanks to the mastermind behind the event, Shari Alhashemi of Pink Wasabi.

Alhashemi drew her inspiration for styling this event from the pantone color of the year: Ultraviolet. We love the boldness of her table decor, and the way that she subtly mixed such vibrant hues with golds, creams, and even some really gorgeous blues. From the mismatched velvet furniture, to the stunning vintage patterned rugs, her ability to mix patterns and texture has us totally in awe.

She really wanted to capture the way an iconic 1960s or 1970s love song makes you feel. Think Captain & Tennille's “Love Will Keep Us Together” or even England Dan & John Ford Coley’s “I’d Really Love to See You Tonight.” The authentic warm colors  and easy vibe, strung together with intricate macrame and her sweet use of succulents perfectly capture that feeling".
