Getting married in a desert in Joshua Tree is basically every boho brides fantasy. From the gorgeous backdrop to the incredible detailing, every aspect of this shoot was hand picked and perfect. Desert Lily B&B is the perfect backdrop for couples who want all the comfort of home wrapped up in the essence of the desert. While this may have been a styled shoot, Austin and Ella had actually eloped just a few months previously, and the lovely way they look at each other is so genuine.
We love how much detail and thought went into the table scape and floral design, from the casually knotted napkin to the personalized name and hand done menu, its all perfect. It’s understated but intentional, and we love seeing that come together in such a cohesive way. We also love how perfectly their floral choices work with the aesthetic of the venue. The enormous cream garden roses, blue thistle, and bunches of silver dollar eucalyptus add luxury that softens the harshness of the desert, and creates such a dreamy romantic feeling.
Even their cake pulls in those desert vibes with the bakers use of gold and succulents. And the gold piece between the top and middle layers. It creates such a level of care and balance, and is instantly so much more interesting. It’s so fun seeing so many different takes on the traditional wedding cake, and this one is definitely one to remember.
