Boho Mountaintop Destination Vermont Wedding

August 23, 2018

This gorgeous couple from Berkeley, CA who loves to have fun, raves about their dog and simply loves enjoying each others company decided to travel toto Manchester, VT for destination wedding overlooking the scenic mountaintop views. Their boho vibe has our hearts swooning and it has the perfect summer vibes. The mountaintop views are to die for and captured so perfectly. We love when couples decide to have destination weddings that don't take place on the beach.

Here are a couple details from the bride about the wedding:

Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette? Did you incorporate any cultural or religious traditions in any part of your day?

I wanted my wedding to be effortless, and we all know how much effort goes into a wedding but I wanted everyone to feel comfortable, and ready to party. The main focus was to be outside, surrounded by flowers, trees, mountains and of course family & friends. I also wanted to color palette to express the relaxed nature of the whimsical outdoor setting, nothing too bright, and a lot of greenery! The flowers and greenery really made my vision come to life! We both love our dog Bo so much we made sure he was incorporated into the wedding. Our pets are rescues (Bo, the Toller/Aussie mix and Twig, the spicy tuxedo cat) so instead of favors we donated the funds to the ASPCA and the American Cancer society for our loved ones that are no longer with us.

Q: Let's talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY?

Keeping with the theme of whimsy and floral, Nancy my florist did a wonderful job incorporating that theme throughout the tables, chandeliers and  bouquets. Nancy also rented trees and arbors from local shops to create the right feel for the outdoor ceremony. She also created small floating vases on the rustic bar wall. My dad and I also spent time painting and coordinating frames for our memory table. My dad has always had an artistic eye and enjoyed helping me with the flowers, and table details to make the day beyond special.
