Words from the Photographer:
Celebrating Karrah and Raleighs 1 year wedding anniversary with a literal *BANG*, of lightening that is! One year ago on their wedding day, a massive storm rolls in. Another year later, on the same day as their anniversary party, one of the largest thunderstorms in Minnesota hits that year. Dancing on her grandmothers dock, these two make the best of their weather situation. But you know what they say "that's good luck on a wedding day".
11 years ago, Karrah & her now Husband Raleigh met in grade school. Over the years they have grown together, forming a union that is so unique prior to a marriage.
From the wife, Karrah:
"Raleigh never asked me to be his girlfriend. We've always celebrated out anniversary as the first day we kissed, May 3rd. Today is not that day, it is the anniversary of our marriage. 2018 marks 11 whole years since I have loved you, so you better believe I am over here celebrating every single day. After we got married I decided immediately to do a vow renewal every year on our anniversary. I've already been spending the last 7 months writing him a new love note... I will wear a pretty dress and he will be ever so dapper, and together, we will never stop putting in that effort. The little things day to day give us strength, power, trust, and wisdom. But I really feel a memory as grand as this one (our wedding), treats us to the gift of excitement, and reminds us our love is a choice. We will make, and value, the time that has passed.
I will marry him once a year forever, always in a new way, and I will choose him every, single, day.
Happy decade of love, my sweet hero."
A poem to her husband: I have always sounded like raindrops. still to the touch i am a wispy dark cloud. soft, yet mysterious. and just a bit perilous. i always believed in white light, but it was as if it were a myth, until i met you. and now, forever, my stormy soul burns bright."
