Words from the photographer:
Maria and Stephen's elopement was an absolute dream in the desert of Surprise, Arizona.
When I first met with Maria to discuss her upcoming wedding she had explained that she met Stephen in the military and she never looked back. He was the love of her life! She had no idea where she wanted her wedding to be, she just knew that she wanted something small, intimate, and to marry her best friend.
The final location was the White Tank Mountains, with Saguaro Cacti and a beautiful clear sky surrounding them. They rented a gorgeous circle arbor created by I Do Rentals AZ, and a few benches to keep the atmosphere simple and intimate. I Do Rentals did an incredible job with the florals on the arbor as well!
Stephen arrived first and greeted all of his guests with the biggest smile, you could tell he was beaming! As he waited for his bride to show up he was faced away from the path she would be taking to take the most important walk of her life thus far down the aisle.
Maria was walked down the aisle by her step father, and the look on Stephens face when he turned around was pure excitement! There may or may not have been a little bit of a tears. Everything from the vows to Maria's dress was an absolute dream! They promised each other forever with no more than 20 guests in their presence, and it was exactly how they envisioned it.
We spent the last hour of sunset doing couples portraits and really soaking in the big moment and the whole scene looked like it could have been straight out of a magazine.
If you are looking to elope I highly recommend a secluded desert location any day of the week!
