Anniversary Session in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park

April 2, 2019

Words from the photographer:

This shoot holds a special place in my heart. As an avid hiker and proud Ohioan I wanted to showcase the beauty that is just in our backyard. Couples who do not have the financial means to travel to a larger scale national park for a wild elopement can accomplish the same ethereal and intimate wedding day or anniversary session in Northeast Ohio. Keeping in mind the 'leave no trace' philosophy we opted for minimal decor and only stayed within the realms of the trails in the parks. We also opted to utilize local vendors and food for our intimate picnic. All produce, wine and bakery are from local farms and shops in the Akron area. This further drives home our point of leaving as little of carbon footprint as possible in an industry that is oversaturated with waste after events. Staying eco friendly, natural and respecting the beauty of our national parks in crucial in the wedding industry. We can accomplish breathtaking wedding visions without compromising the wilderness.
