Words from the photographer:

Britany and JP met in the Spring of 2014 on small social networking site. He smoothly commented that he was “mesmerized by her smile”. Britany saw him living on the other side of the world (the Netherlands) as a safe opportunity to flirt back. They continued to volley compliments and quotes back at each other until another member reminded them they were on a public forum. Private messages let quickly to lengthy emails and those emails lead to nearly-constant contact on Facebook Messenger. A month later, they decided to step it up and talk face-to-face over skype. That first chat lasted nearly 7 hours - and JP asked to come visit Britany in California. She agreed and he booked a flight for the following week on the spot. True to Dutch-form, after their first day together (and a romantic picnic in Palos Verdes), JP asked Britany if their chemistry translated as well in person - she replied yes, and he agreed. After a few more CA visits, and Britany visiting JP in the Netherlands, they decided they’d had enough long distance - and Britany moved over to be with JP in December 2014.

JP is a software engineer and founder of an access control company, Intreba - that provides smart security for commercial and residential developments. Britany recently joined a Dutch Studio as a full time botanical photographer after several years as a content creator and social media manager in the health and beauty industries.

They had the most beautiful intimate ceremony at The Folie Estate in Capistrano Beach. With approx. 70 of their closest family and friends by their side from both America and The Netherlands.
