Striking Rocky Mountain Engagement

September 7, 2019

Photographer, Kip Allen was roommates with Jonny and had the privilege of watching him and Mariah fall madly in love. Their love story is a Tinder love story like so many we feature.

Mariah was living in California but selling security in Colorado and the two were on and off for three years before Jonny convinced Mariah to come to Utah so they could date without being on and off. Fast forward and here they are now!

While Jonny was starting up a fitness business, Mariah was there with him every step of the way. During that time Kip saw him become more confident and strong and said “That is a true mark of a remarkable woman."

Not only did Kip witness their courtship and love develop, but he was able to captured their engagement and we are sure glad he did. Their love is shown through the photographs and we can't wait to see their wedding photos!

Proposal story from Kip: “We went up to squaw peak in Provo, Utah. Jonny had picked Mariah up from work. They had picked up some pupusa and nachos to eat after work as they watched the sunset. Little did Mariah know what was going to happen. The funniest thing was Jonny kept trying to get Mariah to leave the truck bed picnic to stand on the stone wall overlooking Utah Valley, but Mariah was NOT done with her food. He finally convinced her to drop the pupusa and stand on the stone wall where he knelt down on one knee and asked her to marry him.”
